ARTHUR MACHINERY, INC.
In 1983, Bob Arthur left his job with a major machinery firm to start Arthur Machinery, Inc. The company was first located in a 1,500 square foot space, then a 10,000 square foot space, both located in Elk Grove Village. In 1992, Arthur Machinery, Inc leased 18,000 in their present building at 2501 Landmeier Road in Elk Grove Village. Then in 1995, they purchased the entire building and expanded their facility to occupy 36,000 square feet. The building was completely remodeled to include a state-of-the art showroom, first class offices, seven conference rooms, and a customer training facility. In 1989, Bob’s son, Chad Arthur, joined the company on a full time basis. Chad possessed a great understanding of machinery products and was eager to work with his father in the family business. With Chad’s added leadership, new ideas and energy, the business continued its expansion. Today, Arthur Machinery, Inc. is one of the largest machinery sales companies in the Midwest carrying high quality “niche” products such as CNC turning centers, CNC screw machines, grinders, lathes, mills, EDM, rotary products, pallet changers and bar feeders. The success of Arthur Machinery, Inc. is based on delivering what is promised at competitive prices. Today, Chad manages the Elk Grove Village IL operation and assists his father in the Tampa, Florida operation. Together, the Arthurs make a dynamic lineup…both north and south.
